Directions:
1.First, raise beam to normal by pushing beam release button (,A) which disengages clutch. By pressing a little harder, a brake takes hold and beam will raise very smoothly to normal.
2.Turn on motor with toggle switch (B). Set recorder pointer at zero.
3.With beam at normal and sample to be tested in place on balance bars, push button control (C) until sample is broken. Release buttom immediately and take reading at recording point. Return pointer to zero.
4.A limit switch cuts out power if sample does not break by two pounds pressure. To reset, push beam release button (A) to raise beam to normal and reset safety salitch.
5.Adjustment of balance may be made through hand hole in rear of instrument bv removing cover. Adjusting screw is on top of the frort of balance housing.
