Asparagus Salad

1 8 or 10 oz cans cut asparagus
1 3 oz. package lemon or lime jello
1 10.5 oz can condensed cream of celery soup
1 8 oz. pkg cream cheese
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 2 oz. finely diced pimento
1 cup finely chopped celery
2 tbsp. finely chopped onion

Drain asparagus, retain liquid, add water to 1/2 cup.
Heat and boiling add jello and stir to dissolve.
Add soup, cream cheese, and mayonnaise.
Beat with smooth.
Add pimento, celery, and onion.
Beat in asparagus.
Pour into 9" square dish.
Chill at least 4 hours.
To serve, cut iinto 2" squares and serve a lettuce leaves.
Serves 16
