A natural flavoring extract from a red-flowered tropical tree. The name derives from the French Immortel- "immortal" or "everlasting." Used in raspberry, fruit, and liquor flavoring for beverages, ice cream, ices, baked goods, candy, candy, gelatin desserts, and chewing gum. GRAS ACCEPTABLE
