is a tropical fruit, varying from cone to banan a shape, marked somewhat like a pineapple and occasionally reaching a length of fourteen inches, borne on a tree-climbing vine distinguished by huge perforated leaves. It is abundant in Mexico and Guatemala. The flesh is excellent in flavor, suggesting a combination of pineapple and banana, and delightfull aromatic. The greenish-yellow, husky skin is tender and easily removed.
