How do I determine my pan size?
Easiest is to check the bottom of the pan and see if the manufacturer has marked it for you.
If it is just a baking pan, such as cake pan, measure from the inside edges across the top.
To find the volume, measure from inside edge to inside edge of the length and width. Measure the depth and multiple the length times the width times the height. A messier way is to fill to the brim with water and pour the water carefully into a measuring cup until you have the total volume.
Saucepans and skillets should be measured from outside edges across the top.
Depth is always measured on an inside vertical from the bottom of the pan or dish to the top edge.
