The most complete approach is to use the information at the Food and Nutrition Information Center. This can be obtained at http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/etext/000020.html Irregardless of the data obtained, if you have any problem with nutrition intake or use, a registered dietitian can be useful and helpful. the registered dietitian must meet certain minimal competency. A number of selected states also liscense a nutritionist. These also must meet minimal competency. Anyone can call them selves a nutritionist or dietitian. If you want to find a dietitian you might access the incomplete listing on the American Dietetic Association site. Additionally, I find hospitals or local health departments here in the United States can sometimes locate one in your area. Updated: Friday, March 12, 2004. | |||||||||||
