This easy-to-make buttercream is perfect for cake icing and filling.
Quick Buttercream

Whole milk 500 ml 1 1.5
Granulated sugar 500 g 1 1.5
Butter 250 g 8.75
Egg yolks, 4 80 ml 2.75
Salt, to taste
Vanilla extract to taste
Shortening 300 g 10.5
Butter 1.2 2 10.25
Total 2.83 kg 63.25
Method: Boil the milk, sugar, butter, egg yolk, salt and vanilla for about 1 minute. Cool completely. Add the butter and shortening and beat to full volume. Use as desired.
