One More Choice

What is the EMU
The emu, the world's second largest living bird, is a member of ratite family (such as ostrich, rhea, and kiwi). Emu stands 5 to 6 feet tall, weighs up to 150 lbs, and can reach speed up to 60 km/hr. Today they are highly valuable livestock animals in many parts of the world because they produce some of the world's finest meats, leathers, oil and other products.

EMU meat. like beef, but without the fat
Emu meat is 100% red meat. It is delicious and is served as a main menu in some of the finest restaurants in the world. The meat is so similar to prime beef in color, texture, and taste. Furthermore, it is lower in fat content than the leanest cuts of chicken (seeNutrition Fact). The objective of this projest is developing recipes to promote emu meat consumption. Final outcome is three selected recipes on a brochure. This page links to the brochure and the process. Enjoy our tasty EMU!!!
